The main objective of this Research Unit is to serve the research and educational needs in the fields of Geography and Environmental Planning and Management. The research interests of the laboratory staff include Human Geography, Physical Geography, Geography of Developing Countries, Environmental Planning, Water Quality, Coastal Management, Waste Treatment, Environmental Impact Assessment, Ecosystems Analysis. The Unit has been active in participating in research projects concerning Environmental Planning and Management, Geographical Research and Regional Planning and in organizing workshops and conferences focusing on these subjects.
