The course aims at introducing Geographical Information Systems concepts. Upon completion of the course, students are going to be able to use GIS systems for basic representation and analysis tasks. They will also be able to understand spatial data concepts and characteristics.

The final assessment of the students is based on evaluating weekly coursework (50%) and on the final exam mark (50%).
