PhD student in Department of Planning and Regional Development and MSc. in Environmental Management with specialization on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing and Statistics from Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania. He received additional research training in: Spatial Demography, Demographic Methods of Public Health Research and Research Tools and Presentation Skills at the International Max Planck Research School for Demography (Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research). Between 2004 and today, is a research associate at the Laboratory of Demographic and Social Analyses (LDSA), whose principal activities are lecturing and developing research projects. He authored papers in journals and international conferences and his scientific – research interests are spatial demography with emphasis on migration and mortality, data collection, quality and analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and design of spatially referenced Databases (Geo-databases). The geography of his research activities include Greece, western-balkans and rest countries of south-eastern Europe.
