The course aims at analyzing the theoretical approaches and the determinants of economic growth.
LEARNING OUTCOME
Upon completion of the course, students acquire a better understanding of the concept of economic development and the factors that favor / mitigate the successful implementation of development policies.

Students’ evaluation is based on final written exams (maximum grade: 10 points; weight 70% in calculating the final grade) and one take-home personal assignment (maximum grade: 10 points; weight: 30% in calculating the final grade).
The grade of the final written exams is valid for the winter examination period (January – February 2021). The grade of the take-home personal assignment is valid for both the winter (January – February 2021) and the re-examination (August – September 2021) period.
The course is elective.
English is the course language.
Supplementary material (i.e. presentations, notes, papers) are uploaded to the e-class platform.
It is possible to take the final written exam either in Greek or in English.
It is possible to write the take-home personal assignment either in Greek or in English.
The take-home personal assignment is submitted in a day that is going to be set by the tutors.
Students are requested to keep the course procedure harmonious.
